On behalf of the: students, staff, and governors, I would like to welcome you to Trafford Alternative Education Provision. Every student is acknowledged as an individual and we aim for all to reach their true potential. We believe that every student has an innate talent and can experience success as they develop into young adults through the supportive, nurturing, and caring environment that we provide.
As the Executive Headteacher of TAEP, I am passionate about removing barriers and opening new doors to support our students to achieve their DREAMS. Our school motto is “Dare to Dream” and focuses on 2nd chances. Our whole school vision is for our students to believe that they can achieve their goals and that they leave us acquiring the skills to become happy and successful adults.

TAEP has a committed and dedicated staff team who go that “extra mile” to ensure our students have a positive, nurturing educational experience. We celebrate “small steps” be it an improvement in academic achievement, attendance, behaviour, or personal development.
All staff are committed to providing a holistic education experience to support our students with complex and undiagnosed SEND. Our broad and balanced flexible curriculum is designed to offer academic qualifications alongside developing personal development skills for life and work.
We will achieve this by:
- Providing a responsive, flexible, creative, and high-quality curriculum;
- Promoting inclusion for some of Trafford’s most vulnerable young people
- Developing a nurturing and safe environment
We are dedicated to multi-agency partnerships working to get the best outcomes for our students.
Parents/ Carers are vital to making this possible and we value your contributions in developing our holistic educational offer.
We will continue to find creative and alternative methods to support our students and their families. Our core work is encapsulated by our “Dare to Dream” slogan.
